HEAVY METAL PIONEERS – DEEP PURPLE

In the history of heavy music, there are very few groups that can be put on a par with Deep Purple – rock legends that painted the world in dark purple tones.

Their path was winding, like Ritchie Blackmore’s guitar busts and John Lord’s organ parts.

Each of the participants deserves a separate story, but it was precisely together that they became iconic rock figures.

On the carousel
The history of this glorious band goes back to 1966 when the drummer of one of the Liverpool bands Chris Curtis decided to create his own band Roundabout (“Carousel”). Fate brought him to John Lord, who was already known in narrow circles and was known as a great organist. By the way, it turned out that he had a wonderful guy in mind who simply performed miracles with a guitar. This musician turned out to be Richie Blackmore, who at that time played as part of the Three Musketeers group in Hamburg. He was immediately called from Germany and offered a place in the team. MODERN TALKING – GERMAN PHENOMENON

Modern Talking is a cult band. Its members have earned such fame, because their songs are recognizable by the first chords and are pulled to the dance floor. More than 100 million records sold say a lot. No one was more successful at Eurodisc than the guys at Modern Talking.

Could Thomas Anders have thought during the studio recording of the song “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul” that this composition will fundamentally change his whole life. It was their first song and instant hit in the biggest hits.

Sweet beginning
In the early 1980s, the Eurodisc style only appeared, and with it the composer Dieter Bohlen. At that time he worked in a music publishing house and almost everything that sounded in Germany was written by him. Dieter’s voice was not outstanding, but his composing abilities quickly helped him to his feet. Bolen realized that for complete success, he lacked English-language compositions and a singer whose voice could make real hits out of his songs. Continue reading

GENESIS – Pioneers of Art Rock

The development of rock music in general and its intellectual direction in particular is impossible to imagine without the British band Genesis. It was she who turned into the channel of epic art the avant-garde progressive rock, which was opened by Pink Floyd. If other groups followed the direct connection of classical motifs with modern music, Genesis became the pioneers of art rock – a completely new musical art.

British Genesis
Five members of the Genesis group, who stood at its origins, became one of the most respected figures in the international rock movement. They began their rehearsals while still young students. This happened within the walls of the famous English Charterhouse school. The original composition of Genesis was formed due to the merger of the two school groups. Peter Gabriel was engaged in vocals, Tony Banks became the keyboard player, Anthony’s Genesis Phillips became the guitarist, Mike Rutherford played the bass guitar, and Chris Stewart conjured for the drum set. Yves Montand. WOMEN OF HIS LIFE

Yves Montand took everything from life that she gave him. He was devilishly jealous. In rage, he could say a lot of superfluous, but, having calmed down, to find and pronounce the necessary words so affectionately and passionately that his beloved forgave him. They adored him for the seething frantic energy in movements and gestures, for the eyes radiating radiant light, for the tonality of his beautiful voice, for the gentle and strong hugs that give rise to the passion that turns the soul and pierces the heart.

Or did you choose?
Ivo Livi was born on October 13, 1921. He began working at age 13 as an assistant hairdresser, and then as a docker in the port. He performed as a singer in small variety shows and restaurants, and then in the Parisian Folin-Berger and Moulin Rouge.

At the age of seventeen, Ivo Levy first appeared on the stage under the pseudonym Yves Montand. Singer Yves Montan (“Montan” comes from a phrase in the peculiar Italian-French dialect “Willow, Montage” (“Ivo, go home!”), – so his mother called him home in childhood). Yves’ parents were wary of their son’s occupation, but 50 francs a week were a convincing argument for continuing their singing career. At the end of 1938, Ivo first performed songs in a movie theater before the start of the show. Continue reading

ROMINA POWER and AL BANO – “FELICITA” FOR TWO

Romina Power and Al Bano sang many love songs. Love is a song for two. If she is happy, then the melody will be lively and cheerful. But it’s worth jealousy or insecurity to sneak into the souls of singers, how falsity is heard in music, and the text does not add up to poetry, and the once beautiful sounds of the sensational hit are becoming quieter …

American Beauty
She is a young beauty from Hollywood with the imperious surname Power (which means “power”, “power”). Her parents are not from ordinary inhabitants: father Tyrone is an Italian emigrant, an actor popular in 1930-40, and her mother is also an actress – Linda Christian, who dreamed of making a modeling career. It is easy to predict what fate was preparing for the rich girl Romina. At the age of 14, she shone on the screens, starring in several very candid films, and also recorded a solo album. Then the girl realized that she wanted to do music. Her mother, who dreamed of seeing her daughter as a brilliant actress, completely disagreed with this choice. She pinned hopes on Romina related to the realization of her own cherished, but not fulfilled, desire for a stellar career. Continue reading
